The Virtual Computer

I suspect the time has come for us to finally recognize Minecraft as a digital creation platform and not just a game. Case in point, virtual computers. Kids around the world are just now making:

16-bit computer (Arithmetic Logic Unit)

256-bit computer

Dual Core CPU

16 bytes RAM

Display monitor and

3D printer

These technologies will grow in complexity and power very quickly. They are open-source (for now) and completely digital and replicatable. You can COPY AND PASTE these components infinitely! They are not made from materials or matter. Right now, their speed is a huge bottleneck but they are being optimized as we speak. The only real question I have is whether they will be able to perform more calculations and become more powerful then the material computers they actually run on.
